Notice my directing!!! is a trope in Tiradesverse films that shows itself whenever the director of a particular movie beats the audience over its collective head with their filmmaking style--mostly due to massive ego. It is usually an indicator of desperation from the director because they clearly have nothing worthwhile going on in their plot.
