In the Tiradesverse, science is a verb describing any action by characters, often shown in montages, that shows them attempting to solve scientific problems in the most generic ways possible. A vast majority of the time, after the montage is over, the characters will have figured out whatever empirical endeavor they set out to solve.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Pouring one colored liquid into a differently colored liquid
- Phrenetically typing at a keyboard
- Looking through microscopes
- Holding objects up to light sources
- Setting small objects on fire
Examples in the Tiradesverse
- Godzilla (1998) - Niko Tatopoulos figuring out that Zilla is pregnant with...human pregnancy tests...
- Highlander: The Source - Zai Jie frantically typing at the keyboard to find the geographic location of The Source, even though he already knew where it was.
- Jupiter Ascending - Caine Wise having alien space science to fix nearly every problem they encounter.
- Mega Shark VS. Giant Octopus - The absolute zenith of this trope.
